How to remove burn mark on painted wood furniture from votive candle?

I burnt a votive candle all the way down to the end and it left a circular burn mark on my painted wood furniture.


Any easy way to fix it without repainting? I am in a rental and don't want to be charged for damage.

A Mr clean eraser will do the trick They are great. I have used them to remove marker off of clear plastic with no scratches. Give them a try.How to remove burn mark on painted wood furniture from votive candle?
you could take a chip from an area that won't show to home depot where they match it for color thru a color scanner,,(1 pt costs 6 to 8 bucks,,,,,,,assuming you've sanded the area clean(real fine grit sand paper then a bit of pumice to fine finish it)or you could mix %26amp; match black,or brown shoe dye to mix with polyurethane stain,,i think this will work for spot repair
For burns on a wood table, swab the burn with nail polish remover lightly. IF the wax is still there place a sheet of wax paper on it and heat it gently to loosen the wax -it will lift off on the wax paper. Use a iron or hair dryer.
