Any advise on how to do paint a white door to make it look like oak wood?

When I moved into this house, all the woodwork, doors and trim are in oak EXCEPT 4 doors that are painted white. They are not wood door but have a wood grain look but painted a builders white. I want to paint them in a faux wood finish to help match the other doors instead of going through the expensive expense of replacing them. Any ideas or tips?Any advise on how to do paint a white door to make it look like oak wood?
You can find information on the tool Sea_Blonde is talking about at this link. It was used to paint a wood grain on a dresser on Martha Stewarts magazine this month. They have the tool with different types of wood grains. The effect is called Faux Bois (French for ';Fake or False Wood';).

They sell a wood graining tool that you can use with paint. It simulates a stained wooden door.
