How can u get wood thats been painted white back to the wood color?

i have these ugly closet doors that are a med wood color (they are wood) and i want to paint them but when i move out i have to put everything back to normal is that possible to get that wood color back or even if i make them darker like a mahogany can i lighten them back up?How can u get wood thats been painted white back to the wood color?

use a paint remover or sand paper to remove the paint and get it repainted to any shade of your choice and repeat the process againwhile handing over the apartment or the closet whatever the case may be
