How to stick paper on wood for painting designs?

I'm painting the bottom of my longboard and need a good way to get some paper cutouts to stick so I can paint over them and then remove to leave behind the design. The better the stick and easier the removal the better. Any help would be appreciated. How to stick paper on wood for painting designs?
Get some ModPodge... if you put it on both surfaces and then put them together when they dry they stick, but will peel away easily... even easier if you use a plastic instead of paper for cut outs... clear celaphane or something... if that doesn't work I would try double sides tape so it comes free from the wood... good luck! :)
