How to keep knots in wood from bleeding through paint?

We used pine boards for the trim work in our house but some of the knots in the wood continue to show through the paint despite several layers of high quality primer and paint. Has any one else had this problem or know what to do about it?How to keep knots in wood from bleeding through paint?
Don't know the product others are recommending but the following explains what to do.

You may just need to apply MANY coats of Kilz....I have had that happen to me before, but eventually it gets the job done.
I`m not sure what kind of primer you used, but I always use a product called kilz, %26amp; it`s specifically for things that bleed through paint, such as knots or ink. hope this helps.
The reason it is doing this is because the wood has not dried completely and the sap is coming through the knot hole. You can be patient and wait for it to dry but from my experience, it can take a long time(years) for it to dry. I have log siding on my house and some knots will just bleed for the longest time. I would suggest that you just buy a new #1 pine board with no open knots and replace your problem boards. It will save you the expense and frustration in the long run.

Best of Luck!!!
better luck next time
Kilz 1 is a great primer, but Zinzer Bulls Eye is a better primer. I could not recommend a better primer. Best if any primer is color matched to what color you are painting to prevent bleeding of any type. Only thing is that If you go back and prime with either, you will need to sand down every thing to make the primer stick.
you need to use a stain killer binz is a good product u can find it at most harware stores and all paint stores just paint it on with a cheep brush let dry and bammo mission accomplished some nots may require more than one coat but its a very easy procedure
