We were a little sloppy painting our kitchen today and now our wood cabinets have a bit of paint on them. What is the best way to remove it? It's latex paint, semi-gloss. Thanks! How to remove paint from wood cabinets?
there's a product called OOPS its made just for that purpose ,to removed dried paint from surfaces without damaging the surface below.try it its sold at home depot/Lowe's type storesHow to remove paint from wood cabinets?
Since the cabinets are stained, I would just spray the paint with some water and let it sit on it for a bit. The water will work under the edges of the paint and lift it from the surface, then you can just gently scrape it off with a putty knife. You will probably have to spray and scrape a few times to work off the larger spots, but this will result in the least damage to your cabinets.
And that's why it's a good idea to keep a damp cloth handy while you're painting and wipe up spills and splashes right away before they dry. If you just did this today, chances are good that a hard scrub with a wet cloth will peel the spots right off.
Wait for your walls to completely dry and then using a wet and soapy scrungee scrub it off. It will come right off because it's water based and the wood cabinets have a different finish. Hope this helps.
it might peel off depending on the finish of the cabinet underneath. try to start it with a putty knife. if it won't come off that way you can always purchase a paint stripper from your local hardware store. just be very careful with it and use gloves! good luck!
Get some 93% alcohol at your local pharmacy %26amp; use it. you'll need to keep the paint spot damp until the alcohol softens the paint, then it can be wiped off.
Alcohol will remove latex paint.
Good luck...
W.C. is right. Get some solvent acohol from the local home improvement store(home depot etc). They sell it in quarts. use a clean white cloth so the color does not bleed out of a colored cloth. Good Luck Terry
by striping it down with sanding paper. and repainting it again. sorry not much else you can do.
If wiping off with a rag and warm water doesn't work try goof off its available at most places that sell paint
If it's latex it will probably just peel off with your fingernail.
sand and paint over original colour
